Padel rules

Rules

Court: The court is 20m long and 10m wide, divided by a net. The lines and walls define the playing area.

Equipment: A solid racket (without strings) and a ball similar to a tennis ball, but with less pressure.

Points and Sets: Scoring follows tennis rules (0, 15, 30, 40, game). Sets are played to 6 games, with a 2-game difference. Matches are usually best of 3 sets.

Serve: The serve is done underhand and must land in the diagonal service box. Players alternate sides for serving.

Gameplay: The ball must bounce on the opponent’s side before being returned. A point is lost if the ball bounces twice or goes out of bounds.

Walls: Players can use the walls on their own side but not the opponent’s side before the ball crosses the net.

Faults: A fault occurs if:

The ball doesn’t cross the net.

The ball doesn’t land in the correct area.

The serve is out of the designated area.
